I got very excited when I glimpsed Nine through the gallery doorway, immediately reminded of Venus of the Rags which I have always adored and saw the last time I visited Tate Modern. The piles and piles of discarded and presumably second hand clothing gives the feel and, might I add musty smell of a charity shops or jumble sales. The nine pairs of legs underneath Nine create the feeling of some sort of second hand creature, but to me,also gave the sense of hiding, similar to that of a small child getting lost between the clothes rails.
